STOP
KILLER
ROBOTS

No machine can decide to kill.

The goal, in one sentence

Stop Killer Robots calls for an international treaty that bans weapons which select and attack people without meaningful human control, and strictly regulates all other autonomous weapons.

Stop Killer Robots is the international coalition that has long been calling for a treaty to ban autonomous weapons that can target humans. Via Lattea is a partner of the campaign and brings it to Italy through art, public events and training.

What the campaign asks

A legal treaty

After more than ten years of talks, governments say they are ready to negotiate. The text and the process exist. What is missing is the political will to deliver.

Human control

No machine should be able to make life or death decisions. Human judgment and the possibility to refuse are a basic check on power.

Red lines now

Similar technology is already used in war, policing and border control. Governments must draw red lines before it is too late.

What we do in Italy

We bring the campaign to the streets and to the classroom: public art, events and our Preserving the Human Veto workshops, which train NGOs and activists to run their own campaigns on autonomous weapons.
